Class Descriptions

GL-14 has created a superb studio
incorporating all the modern features
of lights, music and exercise equipment,
yet still in keeping with the Victorian
cotton mill legacy.

Classes that we offer are:

Aerobics & Step

Hi/Lo aerobics exercise combined with
step routines all to music, which improves
co-ordination, cardiovascular fitness and
helps tone all major muscle groups.

Ashtanga Yoga

An ancient system of practice for increased health,
well-being and inner peace. Designed to increase
strength, flexibility and balance.

Awesome Abs

Tone and strengthen your abdominals to the max!!!

Boxfit

A physically demanding workout that will push you to the limits and get rid of those blues!

Budokon

An integration of yoga, martial arts and meditation. Budokon uses yoga to improve strength, stillness and energy control. Martial arts to condition the body and mind plus meditation to bring the mind back into a place of calm.

G-Force

The GL-14 exclusive indoor cycling experience using atmospheric lighting. A high energy, calorie burning, cardiovascular workout, using your favourite music and dynamic motivation.

G-Force for Beginners

Introducing new participants to the GL-14 exclusive indoor cycling experience.

Iyenga Yoga

Using precise movements and techniques to attain accurate posture and increase flexibility. Become in touch with your body and decrease those stress levels.

Legs, Bums and Tums

A body conditioning class concentrating on those problem areas. Great to strengthen and tone to get you looking good.

Martial Moves

An Aerobic based class incorporating kicks and punches to motivating combat music.

MSE Circuits

Muscular strength and endurance. Designed to challenge every area of your body.

Pilates

Concentrates on realigning the entire body through a combination of back and abdominal exercises incorporating breathing techniques.

Hip Hop Workout

Funky dance workout based on the latest hip-hop moves pulled from the hottest music videos around. A new combination of steps and sequences will be learnt every week, making it accessible to everyone.

Body Pump

The most successful group fitness programme, using barbells & adjustable weights to tone & condition muscles whilst raising metabolic rate for rapid fat burning!!!

Body Combat

Range of self defence and combat moves based on Karate, Boxing & Taekwondo integrated into an energetic routine. Great for all over fitness!!!

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a sequence of dynamic movements that combine soft and hard, with slow and fast actions, in a balanced and natural way that adheres to the philosophical Taoist principles of yin and yang. Contained within its framework are spiralling twisting and unique silk reeling energy movements, jumps, leaps and explosive energy releases. The body remains relaxed with the practitioner's consciousness, breathing and action all closely connected for the health well-being and fitness
